This bonehead screwed up, apologized, and is now being dragged further underwater by his constituency.
I'm still waiting for step 2.
I'm beginning to think step 2 is unlikely unless it comes from CCP. Maybe he just likes chaos, he is a Goon after all, it's what they seem to like. |

Then its good plubicilty
If only the scandal part was put out and they leave off the resolution Then bad plubicity.
If scandal is involved it will over shadow any good publicity. Nothing people like more than a good scandal, as long as it does not involve them. |

Most of the comments you can find seems like this community has been well defined and this has only reconfirmed every idea about it.
True, EVE's had a bad reputation amoung gamers for years. I thought things had been improving though, but looks like we're back in the crapper. |

Hell even some eve players wouldn't know him from Adam. Your all over estimating EVE and the swarm. Outside of EVE they are not as infamous as you seem to believe and it will take a lot more than a few articles tucked away in crappy gamming websites to make a real impact
If you stand back and look at it, it all seems a bit silly. A player elected representative gets drunk, stupidly stands up and jokingly tells a player to go kill himself. Everyone goes up in arms and he appologises but for some it's not enough so they get on their high horse and demand his accounts be shut and some even want him thrown in jail (I think they were joking). Personally I don't know whats the worse part of all this is. The false sense of moral outrage, people trying to make political capital out of it all, the CSM chairman telling someone to kill himself or the fact that someone who has recently been divorced can still afford 27 accounts. TBH I'm rather bewildered by the amount of fuss this has made, but then again I live in the real world.
EVE is fairly well known, the Goons no idea how well they're known. I'd never heard of the Goons until I started playing EVE. |
